"Liberalism was associated with stronger conflict-related anterior cingulate activity, suggesting greater neurocognitive sensitivity to cues for altering a habitual response pattern."Essentially, conservatives tend to rely on ‘persistence’ in a ‘habitual response pattern,’ despite signals that this response pattern should change... (i.e. "stay the course")
Liberals have more gray matter in a part of the brain associated with understanding complexity - the anterior cingulate cortex, while the conservative brain is bigger in the section related to processing fear - the right amygdala.
Liberal: ...generous, abundant, lavish, broadminded, tolerant, enlightened, charitable, free, advanced
Antonym:
Conservative: ...stingy, miserly, reactionary, regressive, bigoted, prejudiced, biased, narrow-minded, strict
Synonyms: obstinate, inflexible, uncreative, hide-bound, unimaginative, undaring, unprogressive, red-neck

Maher is not funny.
Here's funny.
Maher is far more intelligent and extremely funny because he is right.... the conservative pundits like Limbaugh and Coulter you listen to are conspiracy theorist fear promoters who are essentially divorced from reality.
It had to be explained to Coulter on Maher's show that 'no, we are not bombing Egypt.' What ever happened to that Limbaugh theory that the Gulf oil spill was an Obama engineered inside job?
I don't watch Maher (I don't watch any TV practically) so I'll have to take your word for it.
But Limbaugh is bombastic, and much of his work is deep sarcasm and intended to needle people who so deserve it. Coulter I don't hear all that much, as I don't watch TV. She seems to have that element I so admire: cutting, edgy, dry wit; she annoys the hell out of LeftLibProggs, who so deserve to be needled and annoyed.
