Blogger "Doc" at The Autopsy - identity revealed

UPDATE 8/29/10:
Seems that Mikey is lying to the ankle-biters at Protein Wisdom.

The fact is that I never threatened to call his University to discredit him. I have better things to do. I would never stoop to the level of manbaby Jeff Goldstein who threatened me as such for merely commenting on his blog, saying, "I have nothing to lose." But I did say that I wondered what Mikey's colleagues would think of having a proponent of Intelligent Design and a climate science denier as a science educator/colleague. Particularly true in retrospect, now that his pet Climate-gate scandal has been thoroughly debunked.

In our lengthy debates, I had thought I had identified "Doc" at the Autopsy, the rabid conservative, devoted Bushie, anti-abortion rights, global warming denialist blogger. Based on tracking data, I had deduced that "Doc" was "Tony" at U of Wisconsin, Barron County. I was wrong. Tony emailed me the other day and notified me of my error. My apologizes to Tony!!

"Doc" at The Autopsy is:

Michael

Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin- Platteville

After numerous debates with "Doc" in which I called him "Tony" and even made a joke of Tony's lack of hair, "Doc" never corrected my misidentification and acknowledged my apologies for poking fun of his lack of hair to which he responded:

Willy apologized for the baldness comment. All the hair remaining on my head thanks you.

In doing so, even after a photo of Tony was cited, Michael perpetuated the misconception that he was "Tony." (Michael is not balding). I find this disingenuous and cowardly.

Looking at his bio, he is the product of Catholic schooling which explains his anti-abortion stance. An entry on his blog also suggests he supports Intelligent Design. The identifying clincher is the photo on his personal website of an actor is the same actor in the photo on his blog icon. Gotcha.

It's time Michael, to take responsibility for the opinions you deliver instead of trying to hide. The normal conservative tact: deny everything, admit nothing, blame someone else... it's time to come out Michael, we found you.

As I said to Tony, at the risk of stereotyping, "he sure looks like a conservative."

UPDATE:
Mikey edited my comment on his blog, eliminating his last name and link to this post. Still a coward.
UPDATE II:
Since Mikey linked my photo on his blog with a nasty caption, touche....
Heeerrre's Mikey, (no dumb caption required). Does he "look like a Republican" or what?

"In doing so, even after a photo of Tony was cited, Michael Ruane perpetuated the misconception that he was "Tony." (Michael is not balding). I find this disingenuous and cowardly."

Congratulations on your epiphany. I was wondering where all the hits were coming from-- evidently, Tony managed to stumble on your blog and correct your error.

Just for future reference Willy, it's not my responsibility to correct your errors.

Had you googled "Nethicus", you would have discovered my name much sooner, as other, smarter liberals have done in the past.

And it is a lesson that perhaps you should really not be making personal attacks on people and instead argue on the facts involved. Who I am (and what I look like) really have no bearing on the facts or evidence presented in a debate, unless you are cowardly using them to make ad hominem attacks. Something you do quite often.

Doc said...

Oddly enough, you went through the effort to prove who I was. Quite an obsession. Shows just how much you respect the privacy of others.

Which is interesting, given that you don't give your last name on either of your blogs in your profile, nor do you do it in your email address or your name in the comments of where you go.

That's plain hypocritical, Willy.

And it's obsessive. You tried your best to out me ages ago by digging on me and trying to find my identity so you could attack me personally. And when you were kindly informed that you're really quite stupid, you were so enraged you went and posted my name on your blog in big bold script.

And the reason I ask is, why? Why was it so important to "unmask" me? Did it prove you were right in any way, shape or form? or did it just cement the observation that you are indeed one unstable individual?

William said...

How many concert classical guitarist/professorss are in Murfreesboro, TN?
Not only will you find my name on my other blog in the posts, but Youtube videos of my performances.

Doc said...

But if you're so unafraid of using your own name, Willy, why not put it in your profile? Or your email address?

Unless you're practicing some kind of reasonable humility, something you've kindly denied to me. And something you've been obsessed about doing.

I just have to ask, why? Which argument did it help to put my name in large print in your blog? Something others have bemoaned rabid right-wingers for doing?

You could easily find my name as well. But I didn't (and won't) post your name in 72-point font on my blog and then call you a poo-poo head because I debate in the arena of ideas.

Not personal attacks.

William said...

Go ahead post it. I stand behind everything I've said, and have nothing to hide.
Sincerely,
William Yelverton

Doc said...

But you're missing it, Willy. I stand behind my comments, you stand behind your comments. Congrats. We're one big stand-behind-the-comments family.

But what did it prove to post my name?

I could post your name on my website, but why do it? Would that prove you're hopelessly misguided on abortion? Does it prove you don't know how to read data concerning carbon dioxide emissions? No. So if it doesn't boost any argument, a posting and mocking of your name on my site would be nothing but a baseless, petty attack with no substantial argumentative value.

So I ask one more time-- what did posting my name on your website prove?

William said...

So I ask one more time-- what did posting my name on your website prove?

1) To force you to take responsibility for your opinions

2) To prove that I was correct in characterizing the type of individual that fits the religious conservative authoritarian mindset and how it affects your positions on everything from science to bioethics.

To describe you accurately would simply serve to insult you further.

I have achieved what I wanted and my preconceived notions were proven correct.

William said...

Oh and lastly and above all, to right the wrong I did when identifying you as one of your colleagues, Tony, who no doubt you must know of.

Doc said...

1) To force you to take responsibility for your opinions

And in what post on this board was the argument where I wasn't taking responsibility for my actions? Hmmm? Was this an intellectual pursuit? No. This was the ultimate petty attack by someone so insecure in their own beliefs that they have to pigeonhole those they disagree with.

To prove that I was correct in characterizing the type of individual

Again, my website doesn't prove anything except what fits your narrow stereotypes of people who don't agree with you.

Willy, you've got serious insecurities. And you're inventing facts, just like Hillary.

You said: "Not only will you find my name on my other blog in the posts"

So I did a blog search for "Yelverton". No hits. I did a search for "Doc", and all the posts involving me showed up. So you're lying--inventing some truth that you thought made you better than me.

You think you're an enlightened mind, but you're like a 12 year old. You get beaten in an argument, and you have to make personal attacks, trying to act like some schoolyard bully.

So, whatever floats your boat, Willy. I'm not going to sink to your level and make personal attacks. So enjoy thinking you're being persecuted, you're just being ignored because you're an immature ass.

William said...

Notice Doc says:

I'm not going to sink to your level and make personal attacks.

and says...

Willy, you've got serious insecurities.

and...

you're like a 12 year old. ... you're an immature ass.

William said...

Doc says,

Here's the blog search.

Doc said...

"Here's the blog search."

For a DIFFERENT BLOG.

So, why not put your name on this blog? Or your profile? Or on your freakin' masthead if you're so proud of it?

Don't you see you're criticizing me for doing the same damn thing on my blog that you're doing on yours? That's rank hypocrisy, Willy. And if you can't see that, you're an insecure 12-year old ass.

Serr8d said...

Villiam! I never had you figured for a stalker. People who desire privacy on the 'net have a right to do so; if you want an example of a failed stalking the best I know is Dr. Deborah Frisch, who stalked blogger Jeff Goldstein, with the result of numerous legal sanctions and loss of her job as adjunct Risk Management professor at the University of Arizona. G00gle 'Deb Frisch' for the background.

You, now, have become worrisome. I live in the same county you do, and we disagree on just about every point politik. I'm an arch conservative; you are a yellow-dawg democrat.

Just to make you aware: I too had a stalker once. A State of Tennessee employee, a high-level guy with access to Bredesen, hated me. We clashed on the Nashville City Paper forum. As a result, the NCP had to shut down comments for nearly a year; I started blogging, and the stalker made a mistake...he threatened to expose me. He did so using State computers.

Big mistake. I forwarded the threats and IP information to an independent State lawyer, out of his realm of influence. He was sanctioned, put on 'unpaid leave' for a term, and all of his online activities were banned.

MTSU...let's see...that's a State-run facility, isn't it?
I'm sure you've seen this...

In advance, don't even think about it.

William said...

1) I am not a stalker
2) I only revealed Michael Ruane's identity because he attempted to assume someone else's, one of his colleagues.
3) My name is far more available than yours on my blogs.
4) You being the gun nut, and me being the public figure, I have far more reason to fear you than vica versa.
5) I believe in civil discourse but I am a non violent person. Again, you are the gun nut, not me.
6) As an authoritarian, you are far more likely to obtain your views, attitudes, based on faulty, biased and/or insufficient information.

William said...

Oh, and i blog from home, comcast and my equipment have nothing to do with the state.

Serr8d said...

Sheesh, William, must've touched a nerve.

How do you figure I'm a 'gun nut'? Are you a 'guitar nut', because you can play one? Are we all 'car nuts' because we can all drive? Just because I own a few guns, am an NRA member, and occasionally punch holes in paper targets, does not qualify me as a 'nut'. Please, the discourse. I'm a guest in here, remember~!

Doc said...

he attempted to assume someone else's, one of his colleagues.

No I didn't. You thought I was Tony. Even as I suggest you were incorrect, you continued to pursue that.

And this quote?

Willy apologized for the baldness comment. All the hair remaining on my head thanks you.

Completely factual. All the remaining hair on my head, which is nearly all of it, thanked you. I can't be held liable because you're so willing to make asinine conclusions.

Face it, Willy. You're lashing out because I've made you look a foolish, uneducated, partisan hack on numerous occasions. All of your arguments with me have failed because you can't argue in the realm of ideas-- you have to resort to personal attacks.

Now you're so bent out of shape that you are pulling an internet stalker routine. And while serr8d may be the one with the guns, I actually think you're more of the unhinged liberal loner that may one day do someone harm. Last I checked, guitar strings have been used as weapons as well. Not saying that you'd use them, per se. Just that they have been used to kill by people firmly dislodged from reality.

William said...

Mikey says:
"Even as I suggest you were incorrect, you continued to pursue that."

When did you suggest I was incorrect?

Mikey says:
"you can't argue in the realm of ideas-- you have to resort to personal attacks."

In the same sentence where he says:

"you look a foolish, uneducated, partisan hack ..."

BTW... regarding the "internet stalking" accusation, it wasn't me that found you... it was your own IT people. heh ... You're the outlier, the one who's not quite got a grip on reality. I suggest you take a look around you and get a clue from some of you more worldly and intelligent colleagues.

Uneducated hack? You're the "flat earther" who worships the invisible man in the sky... the guy who does formulaic backhandsprings to suggest Intelligent Design, discredit panspermia, and tell us 'what the evolutionists think'.

You're the one who is sucking up to GW Bush to the bitter end, the worst president in our lifetime. I don't blame you for wanting to hide from your colleagues.

Me, I put myself and my life out there on my blog because I have friends all over the world that I like to keep informed. I reserve this blog for politics. Anyone can find out who I am. Hell, I even have pics of my house up. I am about as healthy, stable and happy as anyone you could meet, with tons of time, resources, culture, adventure, friends, diverse interests and lovely ladies in my life... I'm not saddled with kids, debt or a whole lot of responsibility. Life is awesome, and as a competitive athlete, I'm in better physical shape than 99.5% of people my age.

I feel sorry for ya pal, but I'm glad to hear you lost some weight. The weather must really suck up there. Of course you probably don't get out much anyway. I mean you no ill will, I just enjoy a debate. All the best to you, Mike.

Serr8d said...

William, it's very good to be enthusiastic about your ideas and 'opinions', but watch the self-congratulatory pats-on-the-back. Makes you seem egocentristic.

And, mean-spiritedness doesn't win debates, ever. Why should comparisons to hair quality and length matter? I've a giant cock; you don't see me flouting that in our debates.

Humility is a God thing, I guess, because every atheist I know, hasn't any.

William

Shame on you for attacking someone with the stature of "Doc at the Autopsy". Genius such as his is rare and should be protected by whatever means possible.

Heaven (and all of the reichwingers like Serridiot) know that I'm a coward because I don't put my name on my stuff. Oh, wait, no they often don't do that either. Oh, it's because I don't have a blog with my name on it. That must be it, they all have blogs with their personal info and curriculum vitae thereon.

I'm so glad that Serridiot has a giant cock. For the longest time I thought he was a tiny weenied closeted gay, because he kept projecting that thing about you and me maybe being lovers or having Brazilian houseboys or some such nonsense.

I will say this, people like Serridiot, Ned Williams, Glean Dean, Nutsack 4+5 and Dick at the autopsy have made me re-examine the faith of my childhood and realize that it is was even more dysfunctional than I thought to be the sort of "christian" they all appear to be. Thank you JESUS for making me an agnostic (leaning more towards atheism every day)!!

BTW, I think that Serridiot, with or without the guns, is a "nut".

BTW, I know who 'democommie' is. You'd be surprised.

But, actually, even in meatspace, he's not so much; just a small pestilence-person.

But trying to be well-hidden. Sort of the mole next to my arsehole; easily ignored. Democommie est l'odeur des molécules de merde que nous avec de goût évitez.

William said...

Serr8,
I was merely assuring Mike, you, that I am not the type of "unbalanced person" he suggested and that I would not strangle him or you with an E string.

You are so funny, in french, no less! Incroyable!

You know who I am; how nice for you. Does knowing that mean you will send me cards and letters? I wait with breathless anticipation for your bons mots. Not to mention the photos of your huge cock. I mean you still think I'm gay, right? Or is your huge cock one of those that struts about the barnyard, screwing chickens?

William:

This statement:

"Democommie knows an irrational authoritarian Bush apologist when he sees one."

is redundant.

Where has Dickless at the autopsy gotten himself off to? Is he a friend to Al from Redneckistan?

Doc said...

I'm here, Democommie.

Strange that Willy hasn't plastered your name all over his blog and forced you to take responsibility for your comments.

Oh, wait, it's because he agrees with you and he's a huge hypocrite.

Dochead:

I don't know why William hasn't "outed" me. He could, of course, but then I don't hide because I have a tenured slot or the disdain of my colleagues to worry about. I'm just mostly kinda lazy and don't have a blog, so if folks have my personal contact info they can do all sorts of nasty things like send worms and stuff; and I don't have the madtekkie skilz to deal with that stuff. Not that any self-respecting reichwing dreckslinger like yourself would ever stoop to such a thing.

Stri8d:

Man, you are one badassmofo. You showed that guy, fer sure, dude!

So you responded to his "threats" by getting him in trouble with his bosses? That makes you what? a tattler, a snitch, a rat, a stoolie? I can't imagine what sort of "exposure" would bother a guy like you. With all those guns AND a big cock, I would think you could handle almost anything that a snivelling lefty could throw at you. What ever happened to that Bushian mantra of "Bring it on!", dude?

I gottatellya, I almost need to change my drawers after reading one of your comments about me, I am that scared, yessir.

Doc said...

Beware hotlinking to hostile sources, Willy.

I'd like to point out that I still haven't posted pictures in blog posts of Willy, nor have I disclosed information about him on my website. I could. But I don't. Why? Because it's immature. It proves nothing, other than Willy is so shallow he has to make fun of others to prove his point.

I wonder if he mocks his students like that? I'd hate to be a fat guy in his class, because Willy would immediately assume he's a Fundamentalist Bushie Neocon Authoritarian "Ass-Licker" (Willy's words, not mine) and the ridicule him regardless of the talent he showed in class. Goes a long way towards "tolerance of others", something Willy obviously doesn't show. I'd hate to see what other knee-jerk racisms he has pent up inside his hate-filled persona.

As for you, Democommie, you should be troubled. If you happen to disagree with Willy, you'll get your name and picture plastered up on his blog.

And as for what you said:

if folks have my personal contact info they can do all sorts of nasty things like send worms and stuff

Which is why I didn't put my information on my website to begin with. So, if some left-wing lunatic decides to attack me or my family, Willy is indirectly responsible for the harm that comes to me because he provided that information to the assailant.

And it's exactly why I don't post that sort of information on my blog. I don't want some zealot injuring Willy.

But, that's probably what Willy is secretly hoping for, because that's the MO of a hate-filled authoritarian.

Serr8d said...

Doc, Villiam should really remove this post. Just, take it down, because there is some possible liability for him here, as you've pointed out.

Not only does this post point to Villiam's mean-spiritedness and shallow, unwarranted, petty, sophomoric tendencies to ankelbiting, but stuff like this, if exposed to, say, MTSU, could lead to...another G00gle entry.

Seems like 741,000 is enough.

Hey, Dochead and Steril8d:

Where's the love, boys (and I do mean boys)?

Doc:

"I'd like to point out that I still haven't posted pictures in blog posts of Willy, nor have I disclosed information about him on my website. I could. But I don't. Why? Because it's immature. It proves nothing, other than Willy is so shallow he has to make fun of others to prove his point."

Sort of a moot point, bub. William's real name is on his blogs and it's not difficult to find.

So, apparently it's okay to rip William who does have his real name on his blog--while you don't put yours up? Is that the sound of a chainsaw over revving? Nah, it's just another neo-clown wannabe whining about how unfair the world is TO HIM and all of the other brave patriots who stand ready to defend this country to the last pixel and byte.

That sounds threatening, sort of like what a guy who is just totally fed up with being dissed by someone who he doesn't match up too well with would do. You do seem to have a lot of the rat in you. You're going to bust William if you don't like what he does? Aren't you just the bravest guy on the planet!

How many years did you do with Delta Force (the movie doesn't count). Both you and Dochead are, undoubtedly, combat veterans.

I've always liked things like sand clocks, lava lamps, and the like to kind of fair-minded fritter away all at once staring at it as a formality of catharsis. In a opportunity, it helps me with meditation, to mitigate stress and strain and scarcely assume in the air nothing. That's why since I was a kid, in preference to of dolls and cars I've eternally at ease more of such pieces like sand clocks, lava lamps, harmonious boxes etc. So I was most charmed when I start the 2-Laser + LED Shine Presentation Laser Top Gyroscope with Music Effects from DealtoWorld.com under the aegis the Toys section. It's like a harmonious belt, a spinning better, and a berate show all rolled into one. Which is prodigious amusement! The gyroscope will whirl object of round a minute. The laser enlightenment display with accompanying music makes this gyroscope a very unique bauble that my friends be subjected to also been most amused with.

My dogs are also fair outr?about the laser gyroscope I got from DealtoWorld.com. They always attend the gyroscope as it spins, although at earliest they kept barking at the laser slight accompany, and also because it produces music. But after they got employed it, they've stopped barking but virtuous keep following the gyroscope whenever I start spinning it. Kids are also bonny amused by it. Sometimes it's meet to have pleasing toys around the house so that you can leave the diminutive on while the kids are being amused or playing with it while you count get up viands or get changed. The gyroscope is inseparable such toy with this purpose.

The gyroscope I bought from DealtoWorld.com has a dragon as a intent plot on it, and produces a gegenschein exposition with red, obscene, and green colours. Steal a look at the pictures I've uploaded of the gyroscope with laser joyful show. The music produced from the gyroscope is not that great but good enough to treat any chic customer to the house. The gyroscope is red and jet-black, making it look particular cool, and somewhat virile with that dragon imprint.

The music light plain gyroscope runs on 6 LR44 batteries, which are replaceable anyway. I've also euphemistic pre-owned this gyroscope to surprise my girlfriend during our anniversary celebration. I did the cheesy terror of decorating the hostelry elbow-room with roses and when I led her in, I started up the gyroscope as correctly so that the laser insight register produces a ideal effect. I also had some battery operated candles so all the understanding effects created a degree dreamt-up atmosphere. She loved it, past the custom, to my relief. I also bought the candles from DealtoWorld.com. These days it seems to be my non-fulfilment shopping placement for all gifts and ideas for fancied occasions.

Since Christmas is coming, this laser light playing gyroscope can maybe be a great Christmas gift looking for the toddler or in spite of the pet! Alternatively, the gyroscope can really be a polite summation to the established Christmas decorations. I can take it as given placing it within a mile of the Christmas tree and perchance spinning it when guests arrive in the house. Looks like DealtoWorld.com is getting my duty still again!
