Big bounce for Obama

What a difference a week (and a Palin) makes! Been gone a while and am just delighted to see the news. Obama takes a significant lead in the polls, the largest ever in some polls.

Gallup Poll Daily tracking - Obama +8

from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, finds Barack Obama leading the race for president with his highest share of support to date. Fully half of national registered voters now favor Obama for president, while 42% back John McCain.

Rasmussen - Obama +6

When "leaners" are included, it’s Obama 51%, McCain 45%. This is the highest level of support enjoyed by Obama at any point in Election 2008.

Hotline/FD - Obama +9
CBS - Obama +8
RCP Poll of Polls - Obama +6.4

All I know is that the polls had Kerry beating Bush in '04 and we all know how that turned out.
