McCain's decision making on display - Palin vetting process took one day

Don't you think good leadership qualities include slow and careful consideration of an important decision? The Washington Post reports that Sarah Palin was not subjected to a lengthy in-person background interview with the head of Sen. John McCain's vice presidential vetting team until last Wednesday in Arizona, the day before McCain asked her to be his running mate. You would think such a decision would require a lengthy process, an examination of all the prospective positives and negatives. A pick of a VP - especially to an elderly cancer survivor candidate - should be a decision of paramount importance to national security. Of course we've seen how the present administration had planned for war, here McCain truly shows he shares the same impetuous, impulsive, rash, reckless, and flawed decision making ability as GW Bush.

Imagine McSame as president. I wonder how long he'd think about bombing or invading a country before he pushed the button?

Of course, the conservative loyalists are trying to paint lipstick on this pig. Take for example Pat Buchanan:

Early Friday morning Aug. 29, when Sarah Palin’s name was floated as a possible VP pick, Pat Buchanan says the pick could be spell potential “disaster.”

"It's hard to see Sarah Palin as Commander in Chief.... the argument made against her is that she is not ready to be Commander in Chief and she could be eaten alive in a debate with Joe Biden" - Pat Buchanan

I wonder if McCain even remembers that he once criticized Sarah Palin as a supporter of earmarks and pork barrel spending? I doubt it.
